Hollandmarkt 2025: Delicate and music back in NRW!

The Hollandmarkt is back in North Rhine-Westphalia and in October 2025 offers several opportunities to discover and enjoy Dutch delicacies. The popular markets that have a long tradition in the region and started in Emsdetten in 1990 continue their tour through NRW after taking a well -deserved summer break in the past few months. Ruhr24 reports that the moody mood and culinary delights are waiting for the visitors.

In the first week of October, the market opened its gates in Gelsenkirchen. On October 5, visitors could enjoy Gouda specialties, Kibbeling, Matjes, Poffertjes and honey waffles between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. If you were there, you could enjoy the atmosphere and be inspired by the large selection of Dutch delicacies.

Dates and locations

The other market days are also determined. On October 12th, Datteln becomes the scene of this special event. Here not only the culinary diversity ensures a good mood, but also a brass music band that ensures musical support. After Datteln, the Hollandmarkt will follow on October 19 in Haren (EMS) and finally on October 26th in Hamm. In Hamm, guests can look forward to over 35 retailers who offer typical Dutch specialties but also Dutch melodies with a live wind music band. Westphalia News emphasizes that the Hollandmarkt is a real experience for the whole family and, in addition to the delicacies, also offers cultural exchange.

Lengerich in Münsterland, where a market will also take place on May 18, 2025, will also take a market. This Sunday, visitors have the opportunity to enjoy refreshing chips, frikandel and freshly prepared Poffertjes. Around 30 to 32 stands are set up here, with a highlight: the organizers Yvonne and Henk, who have a comprehensive range of confectionery and licorice.

Tradition and future

The tradition of the Holland market goes far back. The first event took place at the time under adverse weather conditions, and only eleven retailers took part. Today the team around Yvonne and Henk acts in 28 German cities and has long since developed into a permanent institution in the weekly market business. Tonight reports that the events all over Germany tours and the next break will only be taken after December 1, 2025.

The fan base of the Hollandmarkt is growing steadily, and visitors can look forward to a colorful range of offers: cheese, flowers, both food and non-food products, as well as authentic specialties from the Netherlands. A visit is worthwhile, because here the heart beats for culinary enjoyment and conviviality.
