The legendary heavy metal bandIron Maidenis celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and has a concert scheduled for July 11, 2025Veltins Arenascheduled for Gelsenkirchen. This event promises a special experience for all fans, as the setlist will include classics and fan favorites from the band's first nine albums, right through to the evergreens from "Iron Maiden" to "Fear of the Dark".
For those who haven't been able to get a ticket yet, you have to be quick: There are only a few tickets available at Ruhr24 and demand is high. It can be expected that the Veltins Arena will be well filled on the concert evening - a must for every metal fan!
Comfortable journey to the Veltins Arena
Getting to the Veltins Arena is incredibly easy. Visitors can arrive by car, bicycle or public transport. Drivers can use exits 6 (Gelsenkirchen-Buer) and 7 (Herten) from the A2 or exits 16 (Gelsenkirchen-Zentrum) and 17 (Gelsenkirchen-Schalke) from the A42. A total of 14,000 parking spaces are available, divided into different areas, which can be reached at the following addresses:

There are around 600 parking spaces for cyclists behind the East ticket office and in front of Tunnel 1 on the northwest side of the stadium. If you prefer public transport, you can take tram line 302 from Gelsenkirchen main station to the “Veltins-Arena” stop, which takes around 15 minutes.

Another important aspect is the accessibility of the event. The “Willy-Brandt-Allee” stop is barrier-free, particularly for people with limited mobility, which ensures smooth access to the arena. A lot has happened in the area of event organization in recent years, and numerous projects are committed to creating a barrier-free environment. According to MIZ, more and more organizers are striving to make their events accessible to everyone. Guests with disabilities are recommended to contact the federal or state anti-discrimination agency if they have problems with access.
