Volunteering in Gütersloh: Discover volunteer opportunities on November 8th!
What's going on in Gütersloh? A very special event will take place in the city library on November 8th: from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. all citizens are invited to "In conversation with clubs and initiatives - Diverse. Committed. Open." The event, organized by volunteer coordinator Elke Pauly-Teismann, offers an excellent opportunity to find out more about the various volunteer opportunities in the city.
There's a great opportunity here for anyone who wants to get involved socially! The event brings together various players, including the Gütersloh Clinic, which presents offers such as “dementia support”. The Rotary and Inner Wheel service clubs are also on site with their “Language Connects” project. Anyone interested can take a look here and find out more information without obligation, without prior registration!
Focus on volunteer initiatives
Under the motto “Diverse. Committed. Open.” The event not only offers information stands, but also volunteer advice, which is offered at the same time from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. by the volunteer coordination team. This is an excellent opportunity to get in direct contact with representatives of the various initiatives and possibly gain new colleagues for valuable projects.
For those interested in volunteer work, this is a golden opportunity to get to know the non-profit landscape in Gütersloh better. The exchange format allows organizations to present their work and hope for new volunteers. If you can't come on November 8th but are still interested, you should mark December 13th - this is the date on which organizations can present their projects again. Registration is possible at any time by email to honoramtskoordination@guetersloh.de.
Volunteering made easy

By volunteering in churches, charities or social institutions, you can not only do a lot of good, but also gain valuable experience and make new friends. The best-known format is the Voluntary Social Year (FSJ), which qualifies participants for various social services. The Voluntary Ecological Year (FÖJ) is also very popular and provides insights into the area of environmental protection.
