In the early morning hours of August 10, 2025, more precisely around 5:20 a.m., the fire department was called to a fire in Erkelenz Lövenich. The cause of the fire in Lövenich is currently unknown. A vehicle was damaged by the flames and extinguishing efforts are ongoing. A similar incident in Dortmund

A similar fire was also reported in Dortmund about two weeks ago in an old barn, which broke out in Scharnhorst on July 24, 2025.
