Awesome polar bears celebrate Halloween victory and continue the series!

An exciting Friday evening for the Hammer Eisbären: In front of 943 euphoric spectators in their home stadium, the Eisbären celebrated another victory with a convincing 4-1 over the Herford Ice Dragons. The Eisbären are continuing their winning streak and are already recording their fourth success in a row. The joy of the victory was great, especially when the team dressed in their Halloween outfit in front of their passionate fan base, which further heated up the mood. The fans showed their full support with an impressive choreography.

The Eisbären started the game dominantly from the start and didn't let their opponents calm down. Dominik Lascheit had a promising chance right at the start, but was denied by Herford goalkeeper Jakub Urbisch. The Ice Dragons were also able to successfully fend off the first majority for the Hammer team. But in the 15th minute the time had come: Lascheit scored 1-0 for the Eisbären when they were outnumbered and thus caused the first celebration in the stadium.

A game full of highlights

The Eisbären continued to show their strength in the second third. Ugunis Cizas made it 2-0 in the 34th minute and had the fans cheering. The Eisbären continued to keep the game well under control and survived another outnumbered period unscathed, while Samuel Dotter had to leave the ice with a penalty for a hard check on the boards. In the 46th minute the Eisbären increased to 3-0 through Gianluca Balla and in the 54th minute Thomas Zuravlev finally scored the next goal to make it 4-0. However, Ryley Lindgren's goal in the final minute could not dampen the Hammer Eisbären's celebratory mood.

The next game is already around the corner: On Sunday the Eisbären will meet the Rostock Piranhas, followed by a two-week break. It remains exciting to see whether the Eisbären can maintain their impressive form in the coming game.

Ice hockey, a fast-paced team sport, is played on skates on a specially marked ice rink. Two teams try to get the vulcanized rubber puck into the opponent's goal. The sport has its roots in Canada and celebrated its first indoor match in Montreal in 1875. Since then, ice hockey has developed into a sport that is very popular not only in North America, but also in many European countries. The NHL is the best-known and best-attended ice hockey league in the world, while the KHL is the largest league in Eurasia. The popularity of ice hockey is also reflected in international competition, where ice hockey has been part of the Olympic Games since 1920. In Germany, as well as throughout Europe, the sport is very popular and fans are always vocal in their support of their teams.
