Demolition of the fire station in Lüchtringen: A new beginning!
In Lüchtringen, demolition work has begun on the old fire station on Allenbergstrasse. A big step for the small community, which marks the start of a new chapter in the history of the fire department. The building, which has existed since 1964 and was last modernized in 2005, had to give way to the increased requirements. The roof structure of the 60-year-old house fell in just two days after the gutting began two weeks ago. NW reports that ...
What is particularly noteworthy is that, in addition to the fire station, the former school is also being demolished. This was built in 1909 for two school classes, converted into a residential building in 1941 and most recently served as accommodation for refugees. The demolition not only represents the end of a piece of local history, but also creates space for the planning of a new fire station, which will not only be modern but also significantly more spacious.
New fire station
The plan calls for the new fire station to provide more space for the crew, vehicles and modern equipment. The previous accommodation lacked separate changing areas and adequate rooms for training and exercises. These aspects are taken into account in the new building, so that sufficient space is finally created for the work of the fire department.
The fire brigade's operational readiness is ensured throughout the entire construction site operation. The vehicles and equipment are temporarily located in an agricultural hall. In addition, changing rooms and lounges have been set up in containers on Langen Straße. These interim solutions ensure that the fire department remains able to act even during the construction phase.
Future developments
However, the new fire station is not expected to be completed before 2027. In order to keep construction costs within reasonable limits, Hacobau GmbH could be an interesting partner for the project. This specializes in the modular construction of fire stations and offers significantly cheaper prices compared to conventional solid construction. A construction time saving of up to 75 percent through modular construction and a fixed price guarantee for public construction projects make this offer attractive. Hacobau reports that ...
The community is now looking optimistically into the future and is looking forward to the new premises, which will support not only the fire department, but the entire population of Lüchtringen.
