Members' request at KFC: Invite you to the meeting now!
Things have been really busy at KFC Uerdingen in the last few weeks! Christoph Epping, Jörg Gredig and Udo van Koll have taken an important step and are now asking for the members' support for their members' request to call a general meeting. The three are determined to help shape the club's fortunes and are looking for active colleagues who will support their initiative. Loud KFC Uerdingen On August 5, 2025, they finally received the Krefeld district court's decision on their application dated June 5, 2025.
A real ray of hope came on October 22, 2025 from the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court, which assessed one point of the Krefeld District Court's decision as incorrect. The members' request was successful and the board is obliged to invite people to a general meeting. But not everything goes smoothly here: the board refuses to extend an invitation. Therefore, the Krefeld District Court must be authorized to initiate the invitation from the members.
The initiators need support
However, anyone who would like to get involved now can only do so until the end of October. Members who signed the petition in May are allowed to take an active part. On Friday, October 31st, you can sign the additional form in the wholesale market canteen from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Alternatively, you can download the form, fill it out, scan it and send it to the email address member application@member application-kfc.de to send. If you prefer it analogue, you can also hand in the completed form directly to the wholesale market canteen.
Epping, Gredig and van Koll plan to request an invitation to the extraordinary general meeting from the Krefeld district court as soon as enough signatures have been collected. After all, this is not just a mere formality, but rather a step that has become necessary according to the requirements of the German Civil Code (BGB). The general meeting, as the highest body of the association, not only elects the board, but also decides on fundamental matters such as changes to the statutes or even the dissolution of the association. The regulations in § 32ff. BGB are very clear here and leave no room for interpretation.
So the signs are exciting and it remains to be seen whether the initiators can collect the necessary signatures to actually call the general meeting. It takes commitment from the membership to take this final step. Together we will be able to take the club's fortunes into our own hands.
