On Friday, July 4th, it’s “Ready, Set, Go!” at the 21st AOK company run in Lüdenscheid. Over5900 participantsare expected at this special event, which not only stands for sporting activities, but also for a sense of community and fun. The running route leads overapprox. 6 kilometersthrough the city center and offers all kinds of activities as part of the supporting program.
The participants begin to arrive at 5:30 p.m., accompanied by music from DJ Dirk. From 6:00 p.m., guests will be greeted by a mascot and the DJ, followed by the interactive band “Rumbacoustic”. That's why a prize is awarded for the most original running outfit. Part of the entry fee will go into a donation pot that will benefit social projects. There are no presents, which is due to the wishes of many participants. For theSecurity and the processA large team of over 400 helpers ensures this. The route is expected to attract large crowds and early parking is encouraged. Participants and visitors can park either in the schoolyards, Bahnhofsallee or at the Märkischer Kreis district building. Free buses are available for all starters and helpers from 3 p.m., with the exception of line 134, which does not run that day. Bus routes are also being partially rerouted or discontinued to ensure smooth arrival and departure.
