Dancing under the stars: Open air dance evening in Mettmann starts soon!

In a few days, Königshofplatz in Mettmann will be the venue for the open air dance evening, which is taking place on the occasion of the “600 Years of Freedom Mettmann” anniversary. On July 4th, 2025, and on the following dates July 11th, September 5th and September 12th, the space under the shady plane tree roof will be transformed into a dance floor for everyone who enjoys rhythmic movements.

The event is organized by the Tanzhaus Neandertal, which is associated with the Great tip points out the diversity of the dance offering. Guests can look forward to a variety of dance styles, including cha cha cha and waltz – there is something to suit every taste. The atmosphere promises to be pleasantly relaxed, so that both beginners and experienced dancers are equally welcome.

Event details

Admission to the dancing fun is free; advance registration is not necessary. The Tanzhaus Neandertal does everything it can to welcome participants without making a fuss. However, you should note that the number of benches is limited. If you would like to sit comfortably, you are welcome to bring your own chairs. You can also bring snacks and drinks to make the dancing experience even more enjoyable.

An important note for all dancers: If the weather is bad, the dance evening will not take place outdoors, but in the Tanzhaus Neandertal, Talstraße 4-6 (Schulstraße entrance). However, the organizers are hoping for sunny weather and a lot of participation in the fresh air, like that Neanderland reported.

Program and contact

The dance evenings take place from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. The organizers are enthusiastic about the great interest of the people of Mettmann and are helping to revitalize the public space with this event. If you have any questions or need more information, you can contact the organizer directly:

  • Tanzhaus Neandertal: Telefon 25555, E-Mail: info@tanzhaus-neandertal.de
  • Städtische Kulturabteilung: Telefon 980-128, E-Mail: kultur@mettmann.de

The anticipation for the event is increasing, and we can only hope that many dance enthusiasts will gather under the plane tree roof to properly celebrate the anniversary and shake a leg. Hopefully Königshofplatz will become a pulsating dance hall that will make Mettmann's heart beat, just like the regular “NeanderTakt”, information about which can also be found on the city Mettmann website: Mettmann.de.
