In a few weeks, the Westland house in Mönchengladbach will be the setting for an extraordinary art installation: the renowned artist promises under the title “MG shines colorfully”. Leon Löwentraut from October 17th to 26th, 2025, a visual spectacle that will transform the city into a kaleidoscopic light show. This impressive event is part of the city's 50th anniversary and is organized by Michael Hilgers in cooperation with the city of Mönchengladbach.
With a generous facade area of several 1,000 m², Löwentraut plans to enchant the city with video installations, light, sound and color. Every day from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., the art-interested public is invited to enjoy the multimedia experience - admission begins at 6 p.m. Mayor Felix Heinrichs emphasizes how important this campaign is to provide new impetus for the city center and to make art tangible in public spaces.
