Magical summer concert: Free music festival in the airship hangar!

In less than a week, the airship hangar at Essen/Mülheim Airport will be transformed into a place of sounds and melodies. On Saturday, July 12th, the much anticipated summer concert of the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia will take place, which has been a popular tradition for years. From 7:45 p.m., visitors can look forward to a very special musical experience, presented by the top-class orchestra, the Neue Philharmonie Westfalen. With the motto “free and outdoors”, the event is open to everyone. No tickets or registration are required, which makes the whole thing particularly inviting. The program will include a colorful potpourri of popular classical music as well as famous film tunes. The focus is particularly on the pieces on the theme of “flying”, including hits like Adele’s “Skyfall” and well-known melodies from “Back to the Future”. Conductor Rasmus Baumann will lead the orchestra, which with around 120 members is one of the largest in North Rhine-Westphalia, through the evening.
