New police headquarters in Münster: construction work starts now!
It's finally starting in Münster! Preparatory work for the new police headquarters begins today, October 29, 2025. The first steps not only include the access road, but also the excavation of the construction pit. A modern building will be built on the property on Loddenheide, which is owned by a project company, and is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2029. Responsibility for this ambitious project lies with CM Immobilien Entwicklung GmbH, whose managing director Michael Lüke is already emphasizing progress and detailed planning.
The new police headquarters will be built on an area of around 30,000 square meters and will be located on the corner of Albersloher Weg and Willy-Brandt-Weg. Around 42,000 square meters of rental space are planned, including around 25,000 square meters for offices and 1,000 rooms in total. According to the planners, the police will be able to work here under optimal conditions in the future. With these dimensions, the new police headquarters will bring significant progress in Münster's police infrastructure and present itself as a modern security center.

The Oberhausen project also aims to modernize the city's police infrastructure and is scheduled to begin clearing the Concordia site by the end of 2025. The move to the new presidium is expected to be completed by 2029. The decision for the location was not taken lightly as alternative options were ruled out due to a lack of supply.
