On November 1, 2025, Stadtsparkasse Oberhausen is facing a change at the top of its branch in Osterfeld. Jörg Platzek will move to the largest Sparkasse branch in Sterkrade, and his successor has already been determined: Florian Hansmann will take over management of the branch from January 1, 2026. The 32-year-old brings a lot of experience and a breath of fresh air.
Florian Hansmann, a native of Monheim am Rhein, started his career at Stadtsparkasse Oberhausen. After his training, he gained valuable experience in responsible positions over several years and most recently managed the Königshardt branch for two years. Before that, he worked in the Sterkrade and Osterfeld branches, where he honed his commitment to customer advice and leadership. Oliver Mebus, CEO of Stadtsparkasse Oberhausen, emphasizes how important Hansmann's development path is for the bank.
Returning home with new tasks
For Hansmann, returning to Osterfeld is more than just a job change – it is a coming home. “I’m really looking forward to the new challenges and being part of the Osterfeld community again,” says the future branch manager. He currently lives in Oberhausen with his wife, but the next time will take him closer to his roots.
In his new role, he wants to further advance the already successful customer service and take the branch to new heights. He will soon have the opportunity to demonstrate his good management skills and lead the branch together with his team.
The changes within the Stadtsparkasse show how dynamic and adaptable the institute is. Even though Jörg Platzek is appreciated for his achievements, the anticipation of the upcoming innovations and Hansmann's fresh ideas remains in the foreground. Preparations are therefore in full swing to ensure a seamless transition.
