Animal gifts: Help guinea pigs and rabbits in need!

Attention animal lovers! A very special event will take place in Oberhausen on December 14th, 2025 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. - the “Animal Presents” in aid of the Notmeeris Ruhrgebiet e.V. Notguine Pig Station. Here, visitors can not only enjoy delicious cakes and refreshing drinks, but also try their luck on the Wheel of Fortune and browse for bargains at the flea market.

The emergency station, which looks after rescued guinea pigs and rabbits, urgently needs support. The event serves to draw attention to the important work of the station and to secure the necessary funds for the care and veterinary care of the animals. “We are happy about every visit and every donation,” emphasizes the head of the station, who and her team fight tirelessly for the well-being of the animals. The opportunity to visit the emergency station's premises will also be offered during the event.

Important materials and donation options

The emergency station has a clear need for various materials in order to provide the animals with optimal care. The team asks for the following things:

  • 60+120 L Säcke mit Zugverschluss
  • 10+25 L Mülltüten
  • Handfeger, Kehrblech, Einmalhandschuhe, Handtücher
  • Wäschekörbe, Waschmittel, Waschdesinfektion, Küchenrolle, Handseife

But financial donations are also very important in order to cover the high veterinary costs. “We need all support, be it in the form of monetary donations or material donations,” says the station manager. The bank details for monetary donations are: Notmeeris Ruhrgebiet e.V., IBAN: DE07 3606 0591 0002 7717 31. Every euro counts and directly helps the animals in need.

Animal protection – a responsibility for society as a whole

Animal protection is a central issue not only in Germany, but also in Switzerland, as spendenschweiz.ch reports. Donations support organizations that work for animals in need, species protection and better farming conditions. Such initiatives are particularly important in times when many animals need to be rescued from emergencies. The emergency guinea pig station is a local example of the need for donations and support.

Whether through one-off or regular donations – every contribution helps to save lives and improve the welfare of animals. We invite all animal lovers and supporters to visit the “Animal Gifts” and make a positive difference in the lives of animals. Further information about the event and donation options can be found on the Notmeeris Ruhrgebiet e.V. website at www.notmeeris-ruhrgebiet.de.
