Muggle fair in Olpe: A festival full of fun for the whole family!
Unforgettable experiences are in the starting blocks: The popular Muggle fair in Olpe, a festival for the whole family, will open on September 21, 2025. The ceremonial opening will take place at 2 p.m. through the tower clock of the Martinus Church, and the program promises to captivate young and old alike. Over 100 stalls and a wide range of entertainment await visitors.
What shouldn't be missing at a fair? That's right, lots of fun and joy! Shows with acrobats, dancers, clowns and musicians are presented on a large stage. The organization employs more than 500 volunteers who put a lot of passion into organizing this local event from Olpern for Olper. The fair has become a real highlight in the city's calendar, especially now that the atmosphere is blossoming again after the Corona years.
A varied program
Starting with a family service in the St. Martinus Church at 11 a.m., the morning pint concert will be part of the program at 12:15 p.m. The restaurants and drinks counters are also open, so no visitor has to stay hungry or thirsty. A special highlight for the little ones is the colorful parade at 1.45 p.m., in which children parade through the streets in imaginative costumes.
Older guests can look forward to dance performances by kindergarten children and older groups on the show stage. A concert by the marching band is scheduled for 4:30 p.m., followed by a musical finale with the Biggejungs and a spectacular fire show by the Circus Pfiffikus at 6 p.m. At the same time, Professor Carsten Busse will give an interesting experimental lecture on physics - a real insider tip for the curious! The highlight of the afternoon is the cylinder head prize draw at 6:30 p.m.
Fair motto and support for development projects
This year the Muggle fair's motto is “Being reliable friends”. The proceeds from the event go to a good cause: it supports church development projects that are intended to provide targeted help in regions such as Brazil, Central Africa and southern India, including through the “Blooming Coast” model measure. Given the current needs, exacerbated by the hunger crises resulting from the war in Ukraine, every donation is of great importance.
Visitors can get more information in the Muggle office in the Lorenz Jaeger House, which opened on September 5th and is available to answer questions every day until the fair. In addition, donations in kind for the “Schnäppchen” antique market, the antiquarian bookshop and the lottery booth are warmly welcomed. If you would like to donate, you can do so via the following accounts:

The program is rounded off with new and imaginative games for children, including exciting archery, and a special flea market with around 12,000 books sold by the kilo. The Muggle fair in Olpe is a festival that you shouldn't miss! [sauerlandkurier] reports that it is a wonderful opportunity to combine the wine festival with a family outing, strengthen the local community and do good at the same time. Be there and enjoy the anticipation of this lively festival!
