Titus is celebrating a comeback: new pop-up store opens in Paderborn!

A new chapter for the traditional skateboard and streetwear retailer Titus: After the company had to file for bankruptcy under self-administration six months ago, it has now found a new owner under the umbrella of 24/7 Distribution and opened a pop-up store in Paderborn on November 3, 2025. The new store at Westernstrasse 34 covers 135 square meters and offers both its own products and items from third-party brands. This is not only a ray of hope for the brand, but also an important step in overcoming the challenges of the last few months. FashionUnited reports that the shop will initially remain open until the turn of the year.

The last few months have not been easy for Titus. Company owner Julius Dittmann, son of the company founder, reported an extremely difficult phase. Customers stayed away and store shelves were temporarily empty. The company even had to close six stores due to the restructuring process, including locations in Aachen, Augsburg and Frankfurt. However, the three remaining branches, including the shop in Münster city center and the outlet at the Skaters Palace, will remain. WDR explains that the bankruptcy only affects Titus GmbH, but not the Skaters Palace or charity projects like Skate Aid.

New beginnings and future prospects

With the new ownership structure and the motto “here to stay”, Titus is pursuing a clear strategy to stabilize the company. Managing directors Nils Gebbers and Dittmann emphasize that the difficult overall situation in retail must be taken into account. The focus is particularly on online shopping, including a special app to strengthen customer loyalty and attract new buyers. Despite the challenges caused by a decline in purchases and the introduction of a new inventory management system in 2024, those responsible are optimistic.

The opening of the pop-up store in Paderborn is therefore not just a symbolic act, but an important step in regaining our footing on the ground. In the current market environment, Titus is determined to refocus the brand and celebrate the joy of skateboarding. The company, which was founded in 1978, has established itself as an important player in the scene over the years and is proud of its roots.

Whether this new beginning will be successful remains to be seen. What is certain, however, is that Titus is starting a new era with a breath of fresh air and a lot of enthusiasm. Skaters and streetwear fans in Paderborn can look forward to a large range and many new offers.
