FÖJ 2025/2026: Free place in the nature school Reason for Remscheider!

In the beautiful nature of Remscheid there is a great opportunity for young people looking for career guidance. The Grund Nature School is currently advertising a place in the Voluntary Ecological Year (FÖJ) for the 2025/2026 season. As the Nature school reason announced that the place will start in September 2025 and is aimed at all those who have not currently been able to secure a training or study place or who would like to reorient themselves.

Anyone who is interested can apply, regardless of whether they have a high school diploma or not. The FÖJ is an excellent opportunity to gain insights into ecological professional fields and to deepen your knowledge of sustainability, climate, nature and environmental protection. The duration of the FÖJ is around nine months and, in addition to practical work in nature, also includes several five-day seminars and internships organized by the Rhineland Regional Association.

Diverse tasks and responsibilities

The activities of the FÖJlers at the Grund Nature School are varied. Among other things, they are responsible for caring for chickens, gardening and creating environmental educational materials. Especially in the winter, creative tasks arise, such as the development of teaching materials, which are then used in various nature school events.

In spring the focus is on nature: weeding wild herbs, sowing fresh salads and herbs and carefully caring for perennial beds.
