Pippi Longstocking live: The free children's theater highlight in the city park!
Next Sunday, July 13, 2025, the city park in Remscheid will become the stage for the popular children's theater “Pippi Longstocking”. The Niederrheintheater's performance begins at 4 p.m. in the concert shell and promises an exciting adventure for spectators young and old. As waterboelles.de reports, entry is free because the event is financed by the Stadtsparkasse Remscheid Foundation.
Pippi Longstocking, the strongest girl in the world, will get to know her best friends Tommy and Annika and question the rules of adults in a typically cheeky manner. Astrid Lindgren's stories show Pippi, who bravely stands up to teachers, burglars and even police officers and is full of anticipation for the return of her missing pirate dad. An unforgettable afternoon is guaranteed!
Versatile program in the Remscheid summer
The Remscheid summer has much more to offer! In addition to Pippi, numerous other events are being planned for the coming Sundays. The highlight of the next events is the performance “Schnick & Schnack in search of happiness” on July 20th, followed by yoga in the open air on August 3rd, which is aimed at beginners and advanced practitioners alike. Here families can enjoy the open-air atmosphere and do something for their health.
The play “Josi and his friends” will also be performed on August 10th, inviting young audiences to sing along and join in. The series concludes on August 31st with a fairy tale festival with face painting and stories told by the experienced storyteller Karlheinz Schudt. Information and the complete program can be found on the Remscheid Tourismus website.
