Three masked men break into gas stations with manhole covers! Police are looking for witnesses!
On the night of Thursday, June 19th, three unknown people tampered with a gas station in Bedburg. According to a report by Express The police are now looking for the perpetrators who committed a brazen break-in on Robert-Bosch-Straße in the Rhein-Erft district around 2:35 a.m.
The three men wore conspicuous clothing: two of them were masked with black balaclavas, while the third wore a pulled-up scarf. Everyone was dressed in painter's suits and sneakers, suggesting some planning. To get into the gas station, they threw a manhole cover through the glass entrance door. The exact loot is currently unknown, but investigators from the Rhein-Erft district police headquarters are already in action.
Another crime in the area
But that wasn't all: Another break-in occurred just a short time later, around 4 a.m., in a gas station on Aachener Straße in Frechen. Here too, the perpetrators used a manhole cover to break a window and get inside. They stole tobacco products and fled in the direction of Kerpen-Horrem in a dark car, which probably resembles an Audi.
The police found a broken window and the manhole covers used at both crime scenes. The similar modus operandi and the getaway vehicle suggest that they could possibly be the same perpetrators as the reports from Press portal prove.
