The situation escalated further when a 38-year-old, who was in the immediate vicinity and was unable to get out of the way in time, was also involved in the accident. The 37-year-old mother of the two injured children was sitting in his car. All four had to be taken to hospital after the incident. According to initial information, the children's injuries are stable, which is why the relatives can breathe a sigh of relief.
Investigations and seizures
The police have started an investigation into the two drivers involved, the 27-year-old and the 23-year-old. Both are suspected of participating in a forbidden car race - a serious accusation that also illustrates the dangers of such reckless actions. “High speeds can be fatal if mistaken, especially with children in the vehicle,” police said.
The accident site remained closed for several hours to collect evidence and recover the vehicles. In what appeared to be a preventive measure, the main vehicles were also confiscated and the driving licenses of the two drivers responsible were confiscated. Such measures are intended to prevent such incidents from occurring again and to ensure safety on the roads.
