On the third weekend in August, specifically on August 15th to 17th, 2025, the ADAC expects real traffic chaos in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss. Drivers on the A1, A3 and A61 motorways in particular have to expect long delays and slow-moving traffic. The reason for this is several factors: On the one hand, the holiday season ends in the federal states of Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland, and on the other hand, Friday, August 15th, is also a public holiday in Bavaria. The ADAC points out that around 1,250 additional construction sites on the motorways could cause even more delays. Especially when lanes are closed or long roadworks are waiting for road users.
