25 years of SiegenGospelChoir: celebrate the anniversary concert on September 18th!
A particularly joyful event is just around the corner: The SiegenGospelChoir celebrates its 25th anniversary. To mark this anniversary, there will be a big concert evening in the Evangelical Church of the Resurrection in Siegen-Trupbach on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. It promises to be a musical fireworks display that will take guests into a world full of gospel songs.
The Event is led by Helmut Jost, an accomplished gospel specialist and experienced musician. Together with special guests Timo Böcking on piano, Ben Jost on drums and Frieder Jost on guitar, the program will present a selection of the choir's most beautiful songs. Not only will hits from the anniversary period be played, but the gospel message will also be impressively presented.
A moving story of the choir
The SiegenGospelChoir was founded in September 2000 as a gospel workshop in the Martini parish of Siegen, with Helmut Jost and Hans Martin Wahler as founders. It has since developed from a small workshop into a nationally valued choir. The choir initially had around 100 members, but today it has shrunk to around 30 singers, who regularly perform in the ev.-ref. Wilnsdorf-Rödgen church rehearse.
The concert will be particularly charming for visitors thanks to the drinks offered during the break, which will contribute to a festive atmosphere. The entry price for the event is 18.00 euros and tickets are easily available on the choir's homepage: www.siegengospelchoir.de.
Additional highlights in the anniversary year
The anniversary will not be the only musical celebration in 2025. Another special event is coming up on December 4th, 2025: A Christmas concert in the Oberfischbach Protestant Church. Gospel songs can also be enjoyed here at Christmas time.
The SiegenGospelChoir also draws positive conclusions from the past. Despite the challenges during the Corona period, the choir has gained new members and further strengthened its musical identity. The emotional concerts not only make the audience clap, but also encourage them to sing along and dance, which passionately underlines the community between choir and audience, such as in the performance of “Better Is One Day”. Reports from previous performances show the consistently positive atmosphere and the great popularity that the choir enjoys.
Be there when the SiegenGospelChoir celebrates its 25th anniversary - an event you shouldn't miss!
