On June 21, 2024, the school gymnasium on the Ems in Greven was festively decorated and beamed with joy - because the graduates celebrated their graduation in a celebratory setting. This event, which was led by teacher Jana Lerch, captivated parents, friends and the staff. Among the guests was Christian Kammering, the representative of “Promoting Learning,” who praised the close cooperation between the school and its partner organization.

Headmaster Volker Knapheide opened the celebration with a warm thank you speech and proudly presented the graduation shirt with the inscription “the graduating champions”. During the day, the certificates were presented to the students of the 10th grade and the workshop class. All ten graduates of the workshop class who were aiming for an advanced school leaving certificate had successfully achieved this, which they achieved with exceptional perseverance. Many of them had already signed training contracts and were optimistic about the future.

Community and development

The celebration was not only a time for celebration, but also an opportunity to emphasize the close community between the students. The class teachers reported on the positive development of the young people. They had built a strong bond through joint activities such as school trips to Hamburg, trips to the outdoor pool and visits to restaurants. These experiences have helped to strengthen team spirit and community within the classes.

In addition to the presentation of certificates, there were musical performances by Adrian Rokstein, and some students prepared a buffet that the guests enjoyed. Small gifts were also presented to the class teachers, which underlined the appreciation for their effort and commitment.
