The summer holiday season is in full swing in Unna and the children and youth office has put together a truly extensive program this year. On Friday, June 13, 2025, the most extensive summer holiday program of all time started, which is aimed at children and young people who live in Unna or attend a school in Unna. The diversity of the program is remarkable. Youth Welfare Director Sonja Slabon emphasizes that numerous clubs, associations and institutions have contributed their commitment to creating a varied program. From sporty and creative workshops to educational opportunities and exciting day and multi-day excursions, there is something for everyone. Young adventurers can look forward to highlights such as a visit to Gamescom and a trip to Phantasialand.

Offers for all age groups

There are exciting experiences, especially for children, such as trips to the Ketteler Hof adventure park, the Fort Fun amusement park and, new this year, a trip to the Haltern climbing forest. A day trip to Willingen completes the offer. The holiday program model is characterized by a combination of free activities and those requiring prior registration. Anyone interested can easily book the offers via the website www.kijub-unna.de.

Families with lower incomes have the opportunity to take part in the diverse offering through the education and participation package (BuT). As well as on GO youth trips can be read, the BuT subsidies are intended to ensure that socially disadvantaged families can also benefit from leisure, cultural and educational offers. Registration and participation

Registration for the summer holiday program is possible from June 13th to 16th, 2025. On June 17th there will be an automatic lottery procedure to allocate places, with participation confirmed by a green Z. Those who decide early can still book free places after the registration period, although it should be noted that there are no waiting lists. It is important to pay careful attention to the registration process throughout the entire process, as it requires you to pay the participation fee.

Participants who have already registered should also note that some events require special declarations of consent and registrations are only possible for their own children. Anyone who does not have internet access is asked to contact the Children and Youth Office directly.
