Tünnesse inspire in the Megapark: party hit for Mallorca fans!

The mega park in El Arenal, one of the hottest party locations in Mallorca, is currently experiencing a real boom. On May 22nd, the party temple celebrated its 25th anniversary and continues to attract numerous party tourists. In the shadow of these celebrations, the Cologne duo “Tünnesse”, consisting of Yannic Manns and Benedikt Lams, managed to cause a sensation with their party hits in the Megapark. The two musicians have long dreamed of being on the big stage and have now achieved their first big goal: a performance in the renowned Megapark, where partying, fun and alcohol are the focus of their music.

What makes the Megapark so special? The building is reminiscent of a cathedral without a steeple and offers a combination of beer garden and large disco. Bartolomé Cursach, who is known as an entrepreneur in Mallorca's discotheque landscape, opened the Megapark in 2000 to compete with the beer king. The two locations are not only in direct competition, they also have very different approaches. While the Bierkönig is known for its cult atmosphere, the Megapark adds a commercial touch to its party culture. Free sangria and free beer are just the beginning here - entry prices range between 25 and 50 euros, and beer prices are also far higher than those at Oktoberfest.

The music in the mega park

The duo “Tünnesse” brings a breath of fresh air into the Megapark’s music scene. Their songs combine elements of hip hop and party hits, a style of music that has been booming since the 1990s and strings together party hits with themes about celebration and fun. How Wikipedia reports, party hits are often known as “drinking songs” and regularly deal with alcohol and partying. Popular artists in the scene include Jürgen Drews and Mickie Krause, whose hits encourage the crowd to celebrate.

Cursach redesigned the megapark during the Corona period, creating an atmosphere that attracts many well-known artists. These include Mickie Krause and Eko Fresh, among others. This mix of admission prices, top-class live performances and an appealing location has meant that the megapark has overtaken the beer king in terms of popularity in recent years.

The Tünnesse are therefore part of this exciting event. Their musical repertoire revolves extensively around the themes that attract partygoers to Mallorca: fun and exuberance. In the Megapark they enchant visitors with their celebratory sounds and thus consolidate their place in the party scene.

The influence of the party hit

While party hits have become commercial in recent years, they have also grown in popularity and cultural relevance. The music is not only played in the discos on Mallorca, but also at folk festivals in German-speaking countries. The prices and criticism of the Megapark's pricing policy also illustrate the discrepancy between culture and commerce. An example of this is Matthias Distel, also known as Ikke Hipgold, who describes the Beer King as a cult and the Megapark as commerce.

With their fresh and contemporary music, “Tünnesse” are in the right place at exactly the right time and contribute to the tradition and development of this party music. Their successes in the Megapark show that the party hit remains popular even in times of change.
