Construction work in Ludwigshafen: Berliner Platz will soon be closed!

From October 11, 2025, things will be a little uncomfortable for commuters and passengers in Ludwigshafen. Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH (RNV) has ordered a comprehensive closure at Berliner Platz for the new construction of Hochstraße Süd and for short-term track work at Wittelsbachplatz. Extensive track renewal

Particular attention is also being paid to the Rhein-Haardtbahn, which is also affected by the construction work. From October 11th, passengers between Bad Dürkheim and Ludwigshafen will also have to change to buses. Intensive work will be carried out on renewing the tracks here in the coming days; The route between Bad Dürkheim Ost and Friedelsheim and the railway crossing between Fußgönheim and Maxdorf Süd are particularly affected. The VG Wachenheim informed that the rail replacement service will be maintained until October 26th.

On the replacement bus lines, such as line 4, passengers can travel between Bad Dürkheimer Bahnhof and Maxdorf until October 19th. From October 20th, a connection to the Oggersheimer Comeniusstrasse stop will also be available. The restrictions will therefore last until the end of the month and will require some planning on the part of users.
