The anticipation in Bad Dürkheim is increasing: The new Dürkheim Salinarium thermal baths will start regular bathing operations on Friday, November 21st. The city of Bad Dürkheim announced this after the opening date had been delayed several times. The opening was originally planned for Christmas 2023, but due to supply bottlenecks for lighting and the completion of the wellness and catering area, the start date had to be adjusted several times. With an investment volume of almost 50 million euros, the thermal spa promises a true experience for those seeking relaxation.
To properly celebrate the big day, a ceremony will take place on Wednesday, November 19th. Additionally, tours of the new facility will be offered on Thursday, November 20th. On Friday at 9 a.m. regular operations begin, which many of the city's residents and guests are eagerly awaiting.
A comprehensive wellness experience
The Dürkheimer Salinarium thermal baths will offer a variety of attractions. Different pools, a brine inhalation room and an extensive sauna area over several floors are planned. Mayor Natalie Bauernschmitt was already enthusiastic about the new sauna and thermal spa area and emphasized the importance of this project for the city and its residents.
The thermal spa is currently in trial operation, which has made it possible to optimize technical and organizational processes. Various processes are tested under real conditions and adjusted if necessary. Interested guests can register for special visits via the thermal spa website and regularly find out about current developments.
