It's that time again! OnThursday August 14, 2025, the Nahe wine rebels start the big fair warm-up. The event takes place in the picturesque Gemünden winery, Brückes 33 in Bad Kreuznach. Under the motto “We have wine and music – you bring food”, an unforgettable evening awaits the participants, which is all about enjoyment and conviviality. Alexander Wagner from the Naheweinrebellen describes the event as “young, relaxed and a bit rebellious”, which provides the right flair to start the festive days. The Rhine newspaper reports about it.
The fair in Bad Kreuznach is not just any festival, but the largest of its kind between the Nahe, Moselle, Rhine and Saar. Every year in August more than people flock500,000 visitorsto the city. The event runs from Friday to Tuesday and is a highlight for locals and guests alike. In recent years, Thursday has established itself as an unofficial opening after restaurants reopened their doors. Previously, the fair traditionally took place on the Wednesday before the actual start of the festival. The Nahe wine rebels offer a welcome change and increase the anticipation of the five days of celebration even further.
An evening full of enjoyment
Now comes the special thing: visitors are invited to bring their own picnic and help themselves to the wine that is served. DJs will provide the right musical background and lighten the mood. This complements the offerings of the approx.500 dealers, which are spread throughout the fair. Foodies and wine connoisseurs can look forward to numerous culinary delicacies - exactly what you need for a successful evening!
In the run-up to the fair there are also other exciting events, such as the wine spring in Bad Kreuznach, which takes place on June 13th and 14th and offers local wineries a platform to present their best wines. There will also be numerous music offerings in the old town to round off this wine festival. Bad Kreuznach tourist emphasizes that these events also make a significant contribution to promoting regional wine culture.
