Halloween special in Bad Kreuznach: Career advice with fun!
In the spirit of Halloween, a very special event is taking place in Bad Kreuznach on October 27th: The Halloween special “Work or Treat” invites teenagers and young adults to the youth and cooperation center “Die Mühle”. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., visitors can not only get a taste of the eerily beautiful atmosphere, but also gain exciting insights into career orientation. The event is organized by the Youth Career Agency Plus, the Employment Agency, the job center and the “Die Mühle” youth center. The aim is to break down inhibitions in a relaxed atmosphere and to support young people on their way into professional life.
The program offers a wide range of activities, including consultations with professionals, hands-on activities and games. Various snacks and drinks provide culinary delights, while the wheel of fortune offers small prizes. A highlight is the opportunity to experience various apprenticeships up close using virtual reality glasses. Such innovative formats not only promote interest in different professions, but also make career orientation much more tangible.
Integration through collaboration
The “Work or Treat” event is part of a larger initiative: The youth employment agencies in Germany, which aim to improve the integration opportunities of young people into the world of work, work according to the principle of offering support “as if from a single source”. This close integration of the institutions ensures that the individual needs of young people are taken into account in the best possible way. How employment agency.de explains, this takes place in particular in cooperation with schools and other relevant partners such as youth migration services or employer organizations.
The concept has now become established nationwide, with each youth employment agency setting its priorities according to local needs. Intensive exchange and collaboration at eye level are essential here. Such a network is crucial in order to best prepare young people for the challenges of the labor market.
The support for the future
For the Halloween special “Work or Treat”, the project is supported by various bodies, including the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Transformation and Digitalization and the European Social Fund Plus. This once again underlines how important such initiatives are for youth development and what resources are mobilized to support future generations in their professional development.
With such offers, the organizers create a space in which learning, fun and important information go hand in hand. And all this in the context of a spooky and funny event that will certainly attract the ghosts and monsters among us!
