Festival Full of Life: Celebrate Sustainability in Kallstadt!

From June 21st to 29th, 2025, the “Full of Life” festival will take place in beautiful Kallstadt, Rhineland-Palatinate. This event, organized by the Catholic Relief Organization Misereor and the Diocese of Speyer, has set itself the goal of providing significant impetus for a fairer and more sustainable world. At a time when global challenges such as poverty and inequality are more urgent than ever, the festival would like to draw attention to the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda.

The extensive program ranges from concerts to lectures and hands-on activities and attracts international guests. A highlight will be the lecture by Pirmin Spiegel, who talks about global poverty and responsibility. Climate justice and the responsible use of our resources are also the focus of the event.

A special celebration of community

A very special item on the program is the hike, organized by the Palatinate Forest Association, where Bishop Karl-Heinz Wiesemann will make a contribution. In addition, the partner country Rwanda will be honored with an evening accompanied by Rwandan music. Hannah Kuhn from Kallstadt will be joining in from Kigali during the festival to deepen the connection to this fascinating country. At the same time, some of the proceeds from donations go to projects in Rwanda, which gives the festival an additional social aspect.

For adrenaline junkies, extreme athlete Christoph Fuhrbach will attempt to set a world record with 88,480 meters altitude on his bike during the festival. An exciting undertaking that will delight participants and spectators alike. And best of all: All events are free, but donations to Misereor are warmly welcomed.

A common goal

In today's world, it is particularly important to address challenges such as poverty (SDG 1) and hunger (SDG 2), which according to... Federal Government have not yet been adequately addressed. The 2030 Agenda, launched by the United Nations in 2015, aims to achieve goals to combat poverty, protect the planet and promote peace and prosperity by 2030.

The “Full of Life” festival is not only a cultural event, but also an important step on the way to a sustainable future. With the patron Prime Minister Alexander Schweitzer (SPD) at the helm, a strong signal is to be sent for the common path to implementing the SDGs.

So let’s use this opportunity to work together for a “lifestyle suitable for our grandchildren” and to actively help shape change. Because only together can we overcome the challenges of our time and create a better world for ourselves and future generations.
