FCK triumphs 4-0 against Notts County – comeback with goals!

Football fans in Kaiserslautern can breathe a sigh of relief. 1. FC Kaiserslautern (FCK) impressively won their last test match before the upcoming training camp in South Tyrol 4-0 against Notts County. This English fourth division team couldn't hold a candle to FCK in the game on July 12th on their own pitch. The goals came early and got the crowd excited.

Already in the 1st minute Ivan Prtajin had the home fans cheering. Just a few minutes later, in the 8th minute, Kenny Redondo, who was making his comeback after an injury, also scored another goal. And it's hard to believe that in the 10th minute Mahir Emreli scored to make it 3-0. FCK were in top form from the first second, while Notts County had to make matters worse from the 42nd minute onwards after Barry Cotter was sent off with a red card.

Great atmosphere at Betze

With a crowd of around 1,400, including around 200 English fans, the atmosphere on the Betzenberg was excellent. What was particularly pleasing was that the FCK provided free drinks for the fans, which really helped the atmosphere. A temporary separation between the home and away blocks, which had been put in place before the game, was removed before the end of the game and it was clear that everyone present wanted to enjoy the football festival.

In the 81st minute, Mika Haas put the icing on the cake with a goal, prepared by Florian Kleinhansl. This result is all the more noteworthy as Notts County had lost 2-1 in their previous friendly against Darmstadt 98, and the red card against Cotter further weakened the team. It should be noted at this point that Marlon Ritter was rested for precautionary measures, but don't worry - he will travel to training camp.

Test games in the preparation phase

FCK is not the only team preparing for the coming season. Numerous other test matches took place on the same day, such as FC Schalke 04, which lost against SV Wehen Wiesbaden, or Beck's team's 12-0 win against VfL Wolfsburg. These friendly matches give clubs the opportunity to test their form and prepare the teams for the new season. For the FCK, this victory was an important step in showing themselves: There's a lot of potential there!

The trainer's team is now well prepared for the training camp in Vipiteno/South Tyrol, where important steps are to be taken to improve the style of play and team morale. The fans can therefore look forward to the next few weeks with confidence and hope for next season.
