Successful Youth Red Cross Klotten: district championship title won!
In Klotten, the Youth Red Cross won big at the district competition! Two groups from the Klotten Youth Red Cross competed against other Youth Red Cross groups from the Koblenz district and were able to achieve considerable success. The Level 1 group came in third place, while the Level 2 group won the district championship title in all competition areas. This excellent performance not only means joy for the participants, but also that the Klotten Youth Red Cross will be represented at the state competition in August, as Blick Aktuell reports.
The state competitions will take place in Bitburg from August 29th to 31st, 2025. To register for this exciting competition, groups must submit their entries by July 20, 2025. Late registrations will not be accepted, so be quick! Registrations can be filled out digitally and must be sent to the JRK department in the regional association. An email to anmelde@jrk-rlp.de is sufficient. If you prefer to do it by post, you can send the forms to the DRK-Landesverband Rheinland-Pfalz e.V., Jugendrotkreuz, Mittagsgasse 4, 55116 Mainz, as JRK RLP explains.
Competitions and age groups
The JRK competitions are not only an exciting challenge, but also an important highlight in the Youth Red Cross event calendar. These competitions aim to develop the skills and abilities of the participants. From the beginning of March to the end of May, up to 34 DRK district associations organized competitions in which youth Red Cross and school medical service groups can compete against each other in four age levels: Bambini (6-9 years), Level I (10-12 years), Level II (13-16 years) and Level III (17-27 years). The winning groups then qualify for the JRK state competition, which takes place annually in various DRK district associations, as confirmed by JRK BW.
The dates have been clearly set for 2025: the district competitions run until May 24th, followed by the state competitions. Competitions for levels Bambini/I and II & III are also on the program in Esslingen and Zollernalb from July 5th to 19th. The relevant guidelines for the competitions are also already available and should be read by those interested.
The preparations are in full swing and the enthusiasm among the participants and supporters is palpable. The Klotten Youth Red Cross has the chance to present itself impressively and show what the committed young people are capable of. The entire region can be proud of these talents, who are working diligently towards their next big gig.
