Experience the zoo safari: adventure for little explorers in Landau!
Whether small or large, the Landau Zoo in der Pfalz has something to offer for everyone! On Thursday, August 14th, the popular “Zoo Safari” will be held, which is particularly aimed at children between 6 and 12 years old. This exciting event takes place at the Landau Zoo School and lasts approximately two and a half hours. Here, young guests can not only observe animals in their enclosures, but also experience them up close and learn a lot about the different species. Information about tiger diet, penguin identification and the astonishing size of kangaroos at birth are among the fascinating content of this safari. It also explains how a modern zoological garden contributes to the preservation of endangered animal species. The children have the chance to ask their own questions and touch visual materials such as eggs, fur or skulls.
The event starts at 2 p.m., with a meeting point at the zoo box office from 1:45 p.m. However, it is recommended to arrive early as the ticket office is expected to be busy during the holiday season. Participation costs 12.50 euros for the zoo safari, plus 2.50 euros for admission to the zoo. Registrations are required and can be made by calling the Tourism Office on 06341/13-8301. Please note that the zoo may cancel or shorten the event due to weather conditions, so flexible scheduling is advisable if you would like to take part in the experience.
