Climbing As you wish: Adventure weekend in the Palatinate Forest!

Ready, set, go! On September 13th and 14th, 2025, the Hohe-Loog-Haus in Neustadt invites you to a sensational adventure weekend for explorers big and small. Under the motto “Climbing between trees”, exciting activities on the rope course are on the program for everyone aged 7 and over. The Palatinate Forest Association Hambach e.V. and numerous hiking and sports enthusiasts have put together numerous attractions to awaken enthusiasm for exercise and nature.

The event is supervised by experienced professionals who ensure safety in the various climbing elements. From the mountains of the Palatinate you can not only enjoy the wonderful landscape, but also experience the community with other adventurers. If you would like to register for the rope course, you can do so at adventure@tus1910.de Report or call 06327 5068951 for further information.

Opening times and highlights

The gates to the adventure open on Saturday, September 13th from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 14th from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. But that's not all! On June 29, 2025 there will also be a games festival organized by the Lachen-Speyerdorf 1910 e.V. gymnastics and sports community, which can be ideally combined with the adventure weekend.

The Hohe-Loog-Haus itself is a real gem in the Palatinate, located 620 meters above sea level and offers an impressive view of the Southern Palatinate, the Black Forest and the Odenwald. There is space for up to 250 guests to fortify themselves with delicacies. The cozy hut also has a children's playground with a giant slide and climbing frames - a paradise for little adventurers!

This is how you get there

There are numerous access routes for all hiking enthusiasts. A “Hahnentritt” parking lot is about a 30-minute walk away – perfect for a short hike to the hut. The best way to reach the surrounding area is Neustadt, Hambacher Schloss, St. Martin or Diedesfeld (Klausental). The Hohe-Loog-Haus is open on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays in Rhineland-Palatinate. During the summer and fall holidays, the hut is open to hikers every day.

If you feel even more adventurous, the Adventure-and-Experience company offers a whole range of exciting activities such as rafting, canyoning and cave tours. Perfect for groups, school classes or simply for a snack date with friends. The focus here is on fun, safety and shared experiences, so everyone is sure to get their money's worth!
