Opening times on All Saints Day: This is how Ludwigshafen remains accessible!
In Ludwigshafen, All Saints' Day will be celebrated on November 1, 2025 with open doors in several of the most prominent cultural institutions. The Wilhelm Hack Museum opens its doors on this day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and invites all art lovers to embark on an interesting journey of discovery through the world of contemporary art. Particularly exciting is the Rudolf Scharpf Gallery, which can also be visited on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This gallery is located in the former home of artist Rudolf Scharpf and was opened in 1982 after Scharpf entrusted his artistic legacy to his hometown. Here visitors can experience works by Scharpf as well as contemporary art and gain insights into the fascinating exhibition projects of the Wilhelm Hack Museum. More information about the gallery can be found on the Wilhelm Hack Museum website.
At the same time, some facilities must expect closures on this holiday. The Oggersheim indoor swimming pool will remain closed on November 1st, while the South indoor swimming pool will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Regular swimming operations end on October 31st at 7 p.m. due to the Aqua Fitness Night Halloween, which runs until the box office closes at 6:30 p.m. Meanwhile, families and outdoor fans can look forward to the Rheingönheim Wildlife Park, which is also open on All Saints' Day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Last entry is at 4 p.m., so make sure you're there in time!
What is closed on public holidays?
While some leisure and cultural institutions are willing to open their doors, things are not looking quite so rosy for others. The North, West and South recycling centers as well as the funeral service will remain closed on November 1st, but the latter will have a 24-hour on-call service on 0621 622525 to pick up the deceased. The municipal drainage department can be reached every day via the operations center at 0621 504-6870.
