Dance premiere at Felina: Innovative tribute to Manuel Göttsching!

On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, the highly anticipated dance production “Inventions for Electric Guitar” will celebrate its premiere at the Felina Theater Mannheim. This is a homage to the 50th anniversary of Manuel Göttsching's legendary solo album. The journey through the master's moving sounds and the dynamics of the dance promises to be an unforgettable experience. This reinterpretation is the successor to the successful project “E2 – E4”, which shone on stage in 2023 and thrilled viewers with its elaborate presentation.

The premiere begins at 7 p.m., followed by further performances on Wednesday, November 19th and Friday, November 21st, both at 7 p.m. Performances are scheduled for Saturday, November 22nd and Sunday, November 23rd at 6 p.m. The Danish band Cirklen will accompany these magical evenings with their live music and bring a special touch, as they already shared the stage with Göttsching in Copenhagen in 2020.

An experienced and creative ensemble

The ensemble, which will captivate viewers with its dance performances, consists largely of the same talented dancers as in the previous production, but expanded by the addition of Cameroonian dancer Michel Ateba. The choreography, led by several artists including Amelia Eisen and Julia Headley, will explore dancers' reactions to the music and develop new dance stories.

The atmosphere is designed through the interplay of live music, light and projection art to create both dramatic and cheerful moments. Göttsching's music, which combines styles of minimal music, Krautrock, heavy metal elements and ambient sounds, will inspire and inspire the dancers.

An invitation to creative development

“Inventions for Electric Guitar” is more than just a dance piece. It is an invitation to the dancers and the audience to develop their imagination and immerse themselves in new artistic dimensions. The choreographers and dancers look critically at the music and create spaces with their bodies that offer opportunities for new forms of expression. This marriage of music and dance is enhanced by innovative lighting and projection elements, giving the performance a deeper emotional resonance.

Entry prices are €15 for regular tickets and €10 for concessions, and tickets can be reserved by calling 0621 3364886 or emailing karten@theater-felina.de. Further information can be found on the theater website.
