Summer breakfast in Café Cinnamon and Sugar: Enjoy the holidays!

In the idyllic community of Nieder-Olm, a very special breakfast experience takes place in the “Café Cinnamon and Sugar” during the summer holidays. The café opens its doors on several days to offer families a relaxing morning with a rich breakfast buffet. This offer is organized in close cooperation with the Nieder-Olm family center and the baby basket. Regular opening hours are Tuesdays from 9:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Special promotions are on the program: On Tuesday, July 1st and Tuesday, July 8th, the café invites you to a cozy breakfast. There will also be a holiday café for the children on Wednesday, July 9th. The last regular opening day will be July 15th before the cafe closes on July 22nd and 29th. For a small price of 7.90 euros, visitors can help themselves to the buffet, which is stocked with fresh fruit, yoghurt, vegetables, rolls, cheese and sausage. Drinks are also included.

A place for exchange and advice

In the “Café Cinnamon and Sugar” you will not only get your money's worth from the tastes, but also from the social atmosphere. While the children play, parents have the opportunity to chat over a cup of coffee. Diana Nordmann, the association's co-founder and family and pediatric nurse, offers helpful advice for parents.

City Mayor Dirk Hasenfuss, himself the father of two small children, insisted on visiting the café and getting a personal impression of what was on offer. During his visit, parents had the opportunity to voice their concerns directly, including improving playgrounds and implementing colored markings on sidewalks to make routes to school safe.

The commitment of the family center, which launched the “Café Cinnamon and Sugar” initiative, was highly praised by Hasenfuss. Important concerns such as the provision of new shelves for the baby basket and suitable patio furniture were also addressed. The visiting parents also emphasized the need for speed controls and noise protection measures in the area.

An important element for the community

The “Café Cinnamon and Sugar” exemplifies the goals of the Federal Forum for Family Centers, which aims, among other things, to identify the potential of good family centers and to build a strong network. These initiatives are crucial for dialogue between the different actors in order to understand the needs of families and respond to them in the best possible way.

Parents and children will not only find a tasty breakfast in the “Café Cinnamon and Sugar”, but also a place where they feel welcome. Registrations for breakfast are required and can be made via the website www.familienzentrum-nieder-olm.de be made. The fee of 7.90 euros for the buffet is a small price to pay for such a fulfilling experience.

The “Café Cinnamon and Sugar” is more than just a place to satisfy hunger - it is a lively meeting place that strengthens community cohesion and gives families the opportunity to support each other and exchange valuable tips. A welcome initiative that is very popular and will certainly continue to attract many visitors in the future.
