Celebrate diversity: Festival of Cultures in Bendorf City Park!
On Wednesday, September 17th, the city park in Bendorf will be the venue for the festive “Festival of Cultures”. From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the city invites everyone interested to celebrate the rich diversity of cultures and promote good coexistence. Visitors can expect a varied program that will appeal not only to young and old. News Koblenz reports on the numerous activities that are planned.
The festival offers a variety of opportunities for children to be creative: painting stations, face painting and practical insights into soldering and robotics. The offer is rounded off by a goal wall shoot by SC Bendorf-Sayn and the popular popcorn with artistically designed bags from the municipal daycare center “Haus des Kinds”. The Turkish musician Mustafa Altin will also perform on the Saz, while the Ukrainian children's choir “Dzvinochky” will provide a particularly international flair with its singing.
Culinary delicacies and exciting information
Your physical well-being is also well taken care of. In addition to a drinks and waffle stand from the Medardus School support association, visitors can sit down in the cozy Meisenhof forest restaurant and enjoy the delicacies. Information stands from regional organizations such as AWO Rheinland, the youth department of the Bendorf fire department and the Mayen-Koblenz job center offer exciting insights into their offers and initiatives.
The Advisory Board for Migration and Integration of the city of Bendorf, Café International and the Catholic family education center Koblenz have already taken part in the second “Picnic of Cultures” on July 20th. This event was well attended by many Bendorf residents of every age group Bendorf.de describes. Mayor Christoph Mohr emphasizes the importance of the welcoming culture and cohesion in the community, which is what defines the character of the Rhine town of Bendorf.
Diversity is very important in Bendorf, and the city would like to show this special aspect of its identity at the Festival of Cultures. Everyone is warmly invited to become part of this colorful hustle and bustle. Admission is free, so come along and bring your friends and families!
