In a few days, the city center of Neustadt an der Weinstraße will be the scene of a colorful spectacle that will make the hearts of all carnival lovers beat faster. The first carnival parade in this city will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025 and promises to be an absolute highlight of the season. The anticipation is already palpable!
The happy event is organized by four committed carnival clubs: the KV 1840 Neustadt e.V., the Diedesfelder Flendes e.V., the KC Rot-Weiss Lachen-Speyerdorf e.V. and the Mußbacher Ausles carnival club. Together they have put together an extensive program that is sure to delight visitors. The parade begins at 3:44 p.m. in the Friedrichsstrasse parking lot and leads through Friedrichstrasse, Schütt and Hauptstrasse, to the collegiate church and the market square.
A celebratory afternoon
A special highlight will be the ceremonial handover of the city's keys to the carnival clubs, which will take place on the market square at 4:30 p.m. The foolish time is symbolically ushered in here - a moment that is associated with many emotions. Visitors can look forward to live music from the band “Testsieger” from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., which will provide musical accompaniment to the evening. The FFN, which will offer hearty meals, will take care of the physical well-being, while the Mußbacher Ausles carnival club will be responsible for supplying drinks.
