There's a lot going on in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse! On November 15, 2025, the event “Hasta la Fiesta!” will really get down to business in the stairwell at Herrenhof Mußbach. There is something for all music lovers here, as the Cuba Vista Trio provides rousing sounds. The three artists, who come from different parts of Latin America, make the audience dance with their varied musical style. Mireya Coba Cantero from Cuba captivates with her singing, while Felipe Mandingo from Venezuela drives the rhythm with percussion and Julian Montilla from Colombia completes the musical trio with his guitar. Visitors can look forward to a mixture of Latin, Bossa Nova, Salsa, Cuban Son, Bolero, Samba and Cha Cha.

The event, which is organized by the cultural department of the city of Neustadt, starts at 7:30 p.m. and doors open at 6:30 p.m. If you would like to experience some cultural enjoyment before the concert, you should visit the accompanying exhibition “Heimspiel” by the Fördergemeinschaft Herrenhof e.V. Here the artists Ulrich Schreiber with his impressive metal sculptures and Rainer Zerback with his photographs show how exciting the topic of mobility and security as well as identity and space can be.

Another look outside the box: There are now also fascinating, if worrying, developments from Rio de Janeiro. The largest police operation is currently underway there, the Operação Contenção, which has turned the Complexos do Alemão and da Penha into a real “war zone”. The operation has resulted in over 64 deaths since November 28, 2023, many of them civilians and police officers.

The police use the latest technology: two helicopters and drones support the officers, who monitor the area with 2,500 police officers to execute 100 arrest warrants.
