Pirmasens November market: wine princess, Ferris wheel and live music!

It's that time again in Pirmasens: the popular November market opened its doors on Friday evening and once again contributes to the festive atmosphere in the city. Around 1,500 visitors are expected to celebrate together and experience the autumn delights. With a celebratory opening act at 7 p.m., the first guests were welcomed by the newly crowned Palatinate Wine Princess Susanne Singer and the city councilor Denis Clauer (CDU). The wine tent on the lower castle square, where the event takes place, opened its doors at 6 p.m. and welcomes guests with award-winning wine quality and typical Palatinate delicacies, as reported daily news.

The market runs until Sunday and offers a colorful program on all three days. The stalls and rides along Schlossstrasse invite you to stroll. Here the snack stands open their doors with classic offerings such as bratwurst, roasted almonds and chocolate fruits. The wine tent presents itself in a heated atmosphere and shows the best wines of the region, including varieties such as Pinot Noir, Merlot and Riesling, which are provided in collaboration with regional wineries and Wasgau AG. The range includes wines and Secco from the 2023/2024 vintages, and the wine princess, who was elected Palatinate Wine Princess on October 2nd, fulfills autograph requests and likes to try the wines herself pirmasens.de reported.

A varied program

Entertainment is also provided: live music is performed every day, from jazz and hits to Coldplay covers. There are also exciting attractions such as an impressive “Ostseestern” Ferris wheel, which is 35 meters high and offers space for 153 passengers in 26 gondolas. For younger visitors there is a bungee trampoline that promises a lot of fun. The security precautions are also comprehensive: the police and public order office are on site, the access roads are secured with concrete blocks and smoking cannabis is prohibited on the market and in the surrounding streets.

Especially on Sundays, the hustle and bustle is complemented by Sunday shopping in the city center, where the shops are open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Old Town Hall City Museum is also open this weekend and offers interesting exhibitions. This mix of culture, cuisine and entertainment makes the November market in Pirmasens a highlight in the region's event calendar. The wine festival season in the Palatinate, which runs from March to November, is in full swing and offers numerous opportunities to enjoy the wines and hospitality of the Palatinate, such as weinfeste-der-pfalz.de explained.
