Rodalben rocks: Grünesputschefest 2025 promises an unforgettable weekend!

There is great anticipation in Rodalben! The traditional Grünesputsch festival is celebrated on the weekend of August 15th to 17th, and the city has put a lot of effort into offering visitors an unforgettable experience. Organized by Jürgen Kölsch in cooperation with the city of Rodalben, it starts every evening at 5 p.m. when the stalls open their doors and the festivities are in full swing. The Rhine Palatinate reports that a special sports ceremony will take place on the Friday before the official start of the program, at which 47 athletes will be honored.

The highlight of Friday evening will be the tapping of the barrel, which will take place around 7 p.m. and will be dedicated to a deserving citizen. The festival is celebrated on three stages: there is a show stage on the Upper Marienplatz, the Lower Marienplatz becomes the Green Putsch stage and the youth stage is set up on the corner parking lot towards Johann-Peter-Frank-Straße.

Music and entertainment

The musical performances promise good entertainment. On Friday evening the band Steirermen XXL will create a great atmosphere, while on Saturday the group Los Dos Hombres will delight the audience. Jan Luca Ernst is on the program on the Green Putsch stage on Friday and Pinacolada on Saturday. For the young revelers, DJs Elias and Schorleschorsch will heat things up on the youth stage.

A very special highlight awaits on Saturday: “Family Day” starts at 2 p.m. and offers a diverse children and youth program, organized by Simone Maier. Here the little guests can look forward to make-up activities, a magician and a photo box - everything that makes a child's heart beat faster.

Culinary delights and safety precautions

The culinary delights are also not neglected: the local clubs take care of the catering and offer a variety of food and drinks - from crepes and burgers to classic snack dishes. The importance of safety precautions is emphasized Legend Security, who will be present at the main entrances and ensure that everything runs smoothly. Among other things, security forces will be available to protect against vandalism and attacks, as well as a medical service.

Poststrasse will remain open to traffic during the festive season to ensure undisturbed access for visitors. On Sunday, guests can expect a church service at 10:30 a.m. on Marienplatz, followed by a musical morning pint with the Gräfensteiner brass band, which brings the festival to a fitting end.
