Last season, the U21s of 1. FC Kaiserslautern, under the leadership of coach Alexander Bugera, achieved a remarkable achievement. The game was turbulent, especially due to a game interruption of around 75 minutes due to heavy rain and thunderstorms. Shawn Blum in particular proved to be a goalscorer: he scored two goals (33rd and 67th minute) to give the Lauter team a 2-0 lead. But in stoppage time, Pirmasens made the final score 2-1 perfect with a goal from Ousmane Sannoh, which unfortunately wasn't enough for the FCK U21s at the end of the season. Coach Bugera was positive about his team's performance, but regretted the substitution of Anas Bouda due to injury in the first half, which affected the course of the game. In addition, Mike Andreas received a yellow-red card in the 63rd minute, which further confused the balance of power on the pitch.
