Seniors' trip on the Moselle: Tickets go on sale on June 16th!
For the seniors from Frankenthal and the neighboring suburbs, from Monday, June 16th, it’s time to “cast off!” The city's citizen service then sells the coveted tickets for the popular senior boat trips on the Moselle. Taking place on Thursday, July 24th and Thursday, August 7th, these trips offer a wonderful opportunity to experience the beauty of the landscape from the water and make new friends along the way.
Tickets are available for 25 euros per person and can only be purchased at the Citizens Service in the town hall. There is no possibility to make a reservation by telephone or return tickets. Seniors aged 60 and over who live in Frankenthal and the suburbs of Eppstein, Flomersheim, Mörsch and Studernheim are eligible to take part. Anyone who would like to register should bring a valid ID card and, if available, the Frankenthaler discount card.
The excursion program in detail
What can participants expect? The ticket price not only includes the bus trip to Koblenz and the boat trip on the “MS Vallendar”, but also a warm lunch. However, drinks must be paid for separately. There is also the option of going ashore in the Moselle town of Winningen, either to explore the picturesque surroundings or to stay on board. The return journey by bus takes place around 5 p.m. It is important to note that the number of participants is limited to 300 people per day of the excursion, which ensures a very familiar atmosphere on board.
