Spectacular acrobatics thrilled 1000 spectators in Rodalben!

The 23rd edition of “It’s Showtime” by the Palatinate Gymnastics Association caused enthusiasm in Rodalben on November 8, 2025. In the TSR hall, which was filled to capacity, talented acrobats presented a spectacular three and a half hour gymnastics show with a total of 30 performances. Around 1,000 spectators came to be enchanted by a mixture of art and athletics. This event is a real highlight in the region's gymnastics calendar.

Particularly noteworthy was the performance of the TS Rodalben gym and dance team, which won the open class with the performance “Luciver – Fallen Angel”. In the highly competitive event, the gymnasts from Westpfalz-Turngau and the TGM/TGW group from SV Katzweiler were also able to celebrate second place. Among active gymnasts over 19, TSV Speyer, TV Hinterweidenthal and DJK SG Palatia Limburgerhof made it into the ranks of the qualified.

Young gymnasts on the rise

Not only the adults, but also the youth showed impressive performances. TS Rodalben, TB Hermersberg and TSV Speyer were able to reach the podium places in the youth competition. In the B class, for gymnasts over 30 years old, VT Böhl was the dominant team. It is clear here that the passion for gymnastics and acrobatics is very important throughout the region and is reflected in the performances.

The anticipation for the next big event, the “Show of the Winners” in Ludwigshafen on November 29th, is already noticeable. Here the best teams in the region will compete against each other again and demonstrate their outstanding skills.

The importance of gymnastics

The fascination with gymnastics and the benefits associated with it are undisputed. Physical activity not only promotes fitness, but also self-awareness and creativity. An article from Svensk Gymnastics highlights how important basic motor training is and what positive effects it has on the lives of the participants. It is impressively described that learning new skills is enriching and enjoyable. Gymnastics, as celebrated by the Palatinate Gymnastics Association, helps bring people of all ages together and supports their development.

Rodalben impressively demonstrates how large events strengthen the community and promote interest in sport and exercise. The regional events are not only a platform for talent, but also an invitation to everyone to actively participate in the beautiful world of gymnastics.
