TSC Saltatio Neustadt thrilled: Successes at the German Championships!
The German Dance Championships in the combination of Latin and standard dances took place in the Chemnitz town hall last weekend. This was not only a highlight for dance sports enthusiasts, but also marked the return of dance sports after a long break caused by the pandemic. As [c3-chemnitz.de](https://www.c3-chemnitz.de/ Veranstaltungskalender/nachrichtendetail/deutsche-meister-standard-und-lateintanz-combination-1) reports, the spectators were able to shake a leg themselves during the breaks and become part of the spectacle. The event, organized by the dance club “Orchidee” Chemnitz e.V., attracted the best dancers in Germany and offered a colorful program full of dance, music and entertainment over two days.
Among the participants there were also three couples from TSC Saltatio Neustadt on TV Mußbach, who showed outstanding performances. Justin Rettich and Adriana Kubikova competed in the main group of the special class and were able to secure ninth place out of 24 pairs. A remarkable success that was even increased the next day. In the Youth A category, Rettich and Kubikova achieved eighth place out of 21 participants, while Nikolas Gretschmann and Lena Hartig took ninth place. Another highlight of the weekend was Erik Rettich and Julia Scheibel's third place in the same category, which demonstrated the strong presence of TSC Saltatio. According to rheinpfalz.de this is a great success for the Cologne club and shows the potential of the dancers.
A look into the future
The German Standard and Latin Dance Championships did not only take place in Chemnitz. There are other important competitions coming up throughout the year. The German Championships will be held in Bremen on November 15th, followed by international championships such as the World Championships for Standard Formations in Braunschweig and the Latin Formations in Wiener Neustadt, Austria. In addition, the requirements for qualifying for the European Championships and the World Championships will be determined by the dance sports associations in the coming months in order to determine the best dancers who will represent Germany internationally. According to tanzsport.de it will be exciting to see who will qualify for these prestigious events.
For all dance sport enthusiasts who would like to get involved themselves, the hobby leagues in the various federal states are also a great opportunity to get to know dance sport. The next dates are already available in the league areas and interested teams should not hesitate to register. In this way, the dance sports community remains dynamic and always invites new talents to take the stage and demonstrate their skills.
