Repetition of the funding application: Weidenthal wants to renovate the multi-purpose hall!

The municipality of Weidenthal has plans to comprehensively renovate its multi-purpose hall. This was announced at a recent meeting of the local council, where it was unanimously decided to submit a new application for funding for the coming year. The previous application for a grant from the state's investment fund for the renovation of the facade as well as the windows and doors was unfortunately unsuccessful. Instead, the available funds flowed into the restoration of the Schimpf house in Neidenfels, like the one Rhine Palatinate reported.

What is being renewed?

The plans for the multi-purpose hall require urgent renovation to improve both functionality and energy efficiency. An integral part of this upcoming renovation could be the conversion to modern LED lighting. Loud Light center Funding programs offer significant advantages for such projects: Switching to LED could reduce energy costs by up to 70 percent, combined with longer life cycles of the lights, which also reduces maintenance costs. A real win for the cash register and climate protection!

Additional funding opportunities

The range of financial support options is diverse. For municipalities that are in structurally weak regions, there are even subsidies of up to 55 percent as well as low-interest loans. The “Modern Sports Facility 2022” program in North Rhine-Westphalia is aimed specifically at sports facilities and could be particularly relevant for the Weidenthal projects. The Municipal policy also makes it possible to apply for up to 40 percent funding for projects that serve climate protection, in particular for converting to energy-efficient lighting.

Application made easy

Instructions and forms are available to those responsible for submitting applications. In order to successfully submit an application, calculation forms must first be filled out before the applications can be further processed via the easy online platform. The exact technical requirements can be found in the Technical Annex, which simplifies the process for applying for funding.

Overall, the move to once again apply for funding for the multi-purpose hall shows the community's desire to not only maintain the infrastructure, but also to sustainably modernize it. With these measures, Mayor Ralf Kretner (CDU) has a good hand at adequately meeting the community's needs. We can only hope that the next application for financial support is successful this time.
