Accident on the A48: Driver flees after collision with injuries!
On Sunday evening there was a traffic accident on Autobahn 48 near Koblenz, which fortunately only resulted in one person being slightly injured. The incident occurred around 8:55 p.m. in the direction of the Vulkaneifel triangle, between the Koblenz motorway junction and the Goloring car park. A vehicle drove into the victim's car, who then lost control of his vehicle and collided several times with the guard rails. The injured party was taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The person who caused the accident left the scene of the accident without permission, which alerted the police, who are now asking for any relevant information. Road users who were traveling on the BAB 48 at the time of the accident are asked to report to the Mendig police motorway station on 02652-97950 Rhine newspaper reported.
But Autobahn 48 is also remembered for a tragic accident that occurred on May 25th. In this serious incident, three people were killed and six others were seriously injured. The accident happened around 3 a.m. in the direction of Trier and led to the complete closure of the lane between the Koblenz motorway junction and the Ochtendung junction. A minibus left the road and overturned, but no other vehicle was involved in the accident. Nevertheless, traffic was diverted via Autobahn 61. Around a dozen emergency services vehicles as well as several police patrol cars and fire engines were on site to treat the injured people and secure the scene of the accident. Four emergency pastors were also alerted, like the news portal View current reported.
