The investment amount of around new million euros could prove to be extremely useful, since around 70 percent of these costs are covered by funding from the federal and state governments. That is an impressive 6.3 million euros! The hall is equipped with a green roof and photovoltaics in an innovative wood hybrid construction. This not only makes hearts of environmental lovers beat faster, but also ensures a weather -resistant facade made of carbonized wood. The municipality has dedicated itself to the integrated urban development concept (ISEK), which was already decided in 2019 and aimed to make the interior development sustainable.

The future of the music school is still uncertain, since a possible closure is currently being discussed. As far as the outdoor area of ​​the new hall is concerned, it is designed as a place of encounter for young and old - an important aspect for social gathering and the exchange in the community. As the plans continue to progress, it remains exciting, because the old gym, which was built in the 1950s or 1960s, is still being used. However, their demolition is only planned after the opening of the new hall.

In order to adapt bus traffic during the construction period, a replacement stop on Breite Strasse is set up. This affects both primary school children and students secondary schools and is part of a comprehensive plan to further improve the functionality in the community.

Focus of the ISEK

In addition to the cultural hall, there is also a education campus in Neunkirchen on the agenda, which will include the overall and primary school as well as a new bus turning system. The ISEK aims to avoid loss of function and strengthen the basic care of the citizens. A self-learning center and the upgrading of the outdoor facilities are also planned to ensure modern school and youth work.
