Future of agriculture: 33 graduates get started!
An important turning point was celebrated last week at the Agricultural Technical School (LFS) in Warth: 33 students successfully passed their secondary school leaving certificate and skilled worker examinations. The graduates in the fields of “Agriculture” and “Business and Household Management” showed great achievements. The students are very happy about passing their exams and this is a popular highlight at the end of each school year.
Six students from the four-year training course “Social Care Professions in Rural Areas” are about to graduate. They now have to complete the practical part of the program and can expect their certificates in October. Ten students can also look forward to successfully completing the one-year metalworking course, which is offered in cooperation with the Neunkirchen State Vocational School. Twelve students also successfully completed their hunting training. A colorful mix that shows the diverse possibilities that the LFS Warth offers.
On a broad educational basis
The LFS Warth is part of around 70 agricultural and forestry technical schools in Austria that work together with the Ministry of Agriculture. These schools offer comprehensive training that is not only aimed at running a business independently, but also imparts all the necessary key skills. The legal training objectives include the performance of responsible activities as well as the expansion and deepening of general education. This enables graduates to operate successfully in a constantly changing professional field, as bmluk.gv.at emphasizes.
“Green pedagogy” plays a central role in the teaching model of agricultural schools and links agricultural and environmental topics. Graduates are ideally equipped to act responsibly and entrepreneurially in rural areas, as the Agrarschulen also emphasizes.
A successful conclusion and outlook
Director Franz Aichinger paid special thanks to the teachers and staff for their tireless efforts over the past school year. He wishes the fresh graduates a good start to their professional lives. At the same time, the remaining students now have a relaxing summer vacation ahead of them, which they should make good use of to recharge their batteries.
The students at LFS Warth have not only achieved significant milestones with their degrees, but have also opened doors to numerous professional opportunities. Rural areas can look forward to well-trained, young skilled workers who are ready to take on the challenges of the future. Training in agricultural professions is very popular – a positive sign for the regional future.
